We enjoy working out together, renovating our home together, gardening, and traveling .

I enjoy walking, hiking and kayaking.

We ran the Disney Marathon in January 2018. We ran a 10K and Half Marathon in Disney in November 2018.

We have also run half marathons in Lincoln Nebraska, Virginia Beach, and Richmond

We love Disney World and have also been to Hawaii, England, Scotland, Sicily, mainland Italy (Rome, Salerna, Pompeii, Venice, and Milan), Canada, Victoria BC, England, Scotland, Iceland, and recently Alaska.
We love New York, where our oldest two children live; one in Queens and one in Brooklyn. My oldest is Ben, who is in Film production. My second oldest is Max, he does Drag, is an actor, and caterer/bartender. Eliza, my youngest, is a Senior at Elon University studying Technical Theatre
We love Broadway and have been to over 20 Broadway plays.

Labradoodle, Gigi, passed away two years ago.

I love to bake (first attempt at macrons).

A glimpse of Before, During and After of the kitchen we recently renovated. These pictures only show one part of the renovation. We added a huge Island and moved a bathroom(YES, in the kitchen) and took two radiators out of the kitchen to double its size and quadrupled its cabinet space. We have renovated 3 homes dating from 1910, 1923, and 1925. I have personally demolished and rebuilt 2 kitchens and 7 bathrooms with a little help from my husband. As you can tell, I LOVE a challenge!!

I was a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years
- - - Clinical dietitian at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA
    - Women Infant and Children Nutrition (WIC) Program for the Santa Rosa County Health Department in Florida
    - Taught a wellness class and a nutrition class to nurses at Pensacola Junior College
    - Counseled many patients part-time in diabetes centers and YMCAs in multiple states
    - BWXT Wellness Center in Lynchburg, VA
    - Baking/Italian cuisine company- cakes, cookies, & homemade pasta for a butcher shop in Lynchburg.

We moved to Roanoke in 2019 and I took a part-time job at a Consignment shop to meet people. During the Covid19 lock-down, I realized I wanted more out of my life and since my youngest was 17, it was time for me to find my path. A Facebook Ad from Roanoke City Public Schools took me down this path to Educate VA and here I am fulfilling my 10-year-old self dream of being a teacher.

I love teaching Family and Consumer Sciences. So much of my life experiences have been wrapped up into this concentration and I am very excited to teach in this wonderful field of "life skills".
